Projects and time
From yes to done.And paid.
Projects rarely go wrong in a day. They drift. A bit over budget here, a quiet week with the client there. Newrise shows you while there's still time to do something about it.

01 · The project
Every job gets a home of its own.
Client, start date, deadline and status: active, paused or done. Tasks, notes and files sit together on the project. You add files by pasting a link, so they stay wherever they already live.
If the project started as a deal, it's one click away. Won deals can become a project.
02 · Budget
The budget is there every time you open the project.
Enter a budget and an hourly rate, then choose how you bill: hours, fixed price, or fixed price plus hours. Newrise does the sums from there. Time against budget, what's been invoiced, what's sitting there as unbilled time, and what's left.
Nobody needs a spreadsheet to answer "are we still making money on this one?"

03 · Milestones
Milestones you can see coming.
Split the project into milestones, each with a date and its own tasks. The strip at the top tells you when the next one lands. It's hard to be surprised by something that's in front of you every day.

04 · Flags
Say it out loud when something's stuck.
Flag the project as blocked or at risk, and say why. The flag shows who set it and when. It stops being the thing one person quietly worries about.

05 · Weekly status
A weekly status that writes itself.
Every Friday at 14:00, Newrise pulls the project's week together: what got done, the time logged, and what's next. It's built from your tasks, hours and notes, so nobody has to write it.
Hit Share with the client and it's on your clipboard, ready to paste into an email. Whether it goes out, and when, is up to you.

06 · Time
The timer comes with you.
Start it on a task and carry on. It follows you around all of Newrise, even when you nip into contacts for a phone number. Forgot to start it? Log the hours afterwards. Every hour on the project's tasks counts against the budget.

07 · Invoicing · with Pastinak
Unbilled hours become an invoice.
From the project, you send the unbilled hours to Pastinak as invoice lines. Those hours are then marked as invoiced, so they don't sneak onto the next one. Prefer to send a quote first? Newrise uses the project budget as the starting point.
Save the invoice as a draft or send it straight away. Every invoice for the project is always one click away in Pastinak.
